Every year on November 14, the country commemorates Children’s Day. The day honors and remembers the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister. This is due to Nehru’s fondness for children, who lovingly referred to him as ‘Chacha Nehru.’

Cultural performances, events, and competitions are held in schools and colleges around the country to commemorate the day. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and look at a list of performers who became famous for their classic roles as child actors.

There were certain TV episodes, commercials, and films that had kid actors that left an indelible imprint on our childhood with their incredible acting abilities, and no matter how old we get, we will always have that image of the tiny children in our heads. So, in honor of Children’s Day 2021, let’s take a trip down memory lane and revisit the list of performers who rose to prominence as child actors.

It goes without saying that this individual had to be at the top of the list. Darsheel, who made his acting debut in Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par, won the hearts of the audience when he cried onscreen after being reprimanded for having dyslexia.

Back then, another sensation was the ‘Jalebi‘ boy. Not only because of his refined oil ad, but also because of his part as a charming Sardar youngster in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, in which he exclaims ‘Tussi Ja Rahe Ho?’ throughout the film. Tussi Na Jao’ is a tearjerker for everyone.

‘Tujhse Naraz Nahin Zindagi Hairaan Hoon Main’ is a song by Tujhse Naraz Nahin Zindagi Hairaan Hoon Main. We’re guessing this is the first song that came to mind when you heard his name. No matter how much he attempted to wow viewers with his chocolate boy, romantic hero image, it was in the film Masoom that Jugal Hansraj was most popular. For those who are unaware, Urmila Matondkar appeared in the film as a kid actor.

Aayan Boradia

Udaan was one of Indian cinema’s most underappreciated jewels. The film depicted two children surviving their father’s wrath, who was represented by Ronit Roy. Apart from Rajat Barmecha (Rohan), Aayan was the actor whose character we remembered. He portrayed the younger, innocent brother who was enraged by his father due to the latter’s anger issues.
